A minimally invasive alternative to a facelift that uses temporary sutures to lift sagging skin and encourage your body’s own collagen production, with results visible immediately.
As we age, our bodies gradually produce less collagen, and skin begins to sag because it can no longer support the tissue beneath it. A PDO thread lift addresses this nonsurgically. Rather than removing loose skin the way surgery does, it uses temporary polydioxanone (PDO) sutures, a suture material used for over 30 years, to lift sagging skin and suspend it in place, primarily targeting the midface, jowls, and neck. The threads also encourage your body to produce more of its own collagen in the treated area, adding volume alongside the lift.
We use MINT™ threads, the latest advancement in PDO technology. Unlike conventional PDO threads, which cut barbs from the thread’s core (weakening it and making it more prone to breakage), MINT™ uses a patented technology to press-mold the barbs onto the surface of the thread, preserving its structural integrity for a more reliable lift.
PDO threads are best suited to patients noticing early signs of aging, mild wrinkling or sagging in the midface, jowls, or neck, who want a lifted look without the downtime or cost of a surgical facelift. Patients with more significant, advanced sagging are typically better served by a traditional facelift.

Most patients notice minor immediate results right after treatment, with full results developing as new collagen forms over the following months.
Your provider marks insertion points and directions across the treatment area, then applies a local anesthetic to numb the skin fully before beginning.
Threads are guided into place with a cannula, then gently massaged to ensure no dimpling and smooth, even tissue. The full procedure takes as little as 30 minutes.
After 48 hours, you can gently resume your basic skincare routine and wear makeup. Side effects can occur in the first 24 to 48 hours and typically resolve quickly. Some effects, like bruising, swelling, tenderness, numbness, or minor unevenness, may take a few weeks to fully resolve.
The threads dissolve completely into water and carbon dioxide, fully absorbed by your body within six to eight months. Even after they’re gone, they continue to have done their job: new collagen has formed in the treated area, and that’s what delivers the lasting result. Overall outcomes are typically reported to last 18 months to 2 years.

You can resume daily activities immediately after your procedure. More intense activity, like exercise, should wait about a week; check with your provider beforehand.
Yes. The threads dissolve completely, so you’re free to get treated again and enjoy the benefits of MINT™ over an extended period.
Yes. MINT™ pairs well with neuromodulators like BOTOX® or Dysport® for wrinkles, dermal fillers for volume, and laser treatments for texture, letting you build a complete plan around your goals.
No. While PDO threads share the same base material, manufacturing varies by brand. Conventional threads cut barbs from the thread’s core, weakening it. MINT™ uses a patented process to press-mold barbs onto the thread’s surface instead, preserving its strength.
A facelift is a better fit for patients with more significant sagging who can invest in a long-term surgical solution and the recovery time it requires, with results that can last up to ten years. PDO threads are a minimally invasive alternative for milder sagging, delivering natural, instant results with far less downtime, trauma, and cost.
