Frown Lines (Glabellum)
Lines that develop between your eyebrows when you frown. Everyone does it, but as we age, these furrows can etch into our skin and sometimes even become deep furrows. Some people call them their 11's.
- Benefits: Botox injections can relax the muscles and over time the skin can heal itself making the lines go away.
- Botox Units Needed: The amount of Botox needed for the frown lines varies significantly from person to person. It can range from as few as 9 units to as high as 40 units.
- Risks: eyelid ptosis is when the Botox affects the small muscle that raises the upper eyelid. Your central brows can drop giving you an angry look. You can also see what we call “Spock” brows. The muscle that lifts the outer brows becomes too active and raises the outer brow too high.
